A veteran from California talked during the week about how he was on the receiving end of a terror attack back in August when a man on the highway slammed into him, “in the name of Allah.”
Scott Alcala was speaking to KMPH-TV, detailing the incident that happened when he was in his car driving to the San Jose Golf course to play a round with his father when an individual in a Toyota Corolla slammed into him. The attacker was named as Ameer Abbas Fakhraldi and was driving at speeds in excess of 100MPH.
This was not an accident.
“The off-duty police officer went to talk to the other driver in his vehicle and he said, ‘Are you alright? That was way too fast,’ and (the driver) said ‘I did it on purpose. It was in the name of Allah,’” Alcala recounted.
The police said that the attacker blamed his actions on how Trump has treated minorities and he praised Allah. He made claims that he used psychic powers to steer the vehicle.
Alcala is an Afghanistan war veteran and believes this man needs to be taken off the streets before he attacks someone else.
“He was just trying to target as many people as he could,” Alcala said. “He was just trying to cause a pile up. It wasn’t me personally. It was as if someone were to throw a bomb in the middle of downtown, it’s no different, it’s the same thinking.”
“Coming back from Afghanistan, thinking I’m on home soil I’m safe now just shouldn’t have to worry about something like that you know,” he added.
The man isn’t even in police custody anymore, but the FBI is looking into the case.
